Who are we

The Sameer Project (TSP) is a rapid-response mutual aid initiative that supports the most vulnerable communities in Gaza. Founded in April 2024 by three Palestinians in exile, the project was a response to the gap between “intention” and actual delivery of necessary aid in a way that preserves the dignity of displaced families in Gaza.

We prioritise communities that were disenfranchised even before the genocide; encampments and areas with little to no access to outside advocacy. Through our large network of teams in Gaza, we listen to what these communities need and provide urgent support so they can continue to resist the genocide and strive for liberation.

our vision

is A liberated, sovereign Palestinian state.

Our Mission

is To provide resistance through aid and to support the most vulnerable communities facing genocide in Gaza.

Our Values

We center Palestinians in Gaza and their liberation

We are committed to being led by the needs of Palestinians first and foremost, and work towards their liberation. We know that aid is political and we do all we can to decolonise it.

We promote resilience, dignity and agency

We aim to empower people to become self-sufficient, rather than making people reliant on us. And we ask communities what they need and respond as best we can. They know better than anyone else what support will be most effective.

We offer only unconditional aid

Our role is to facilitate fundraising and help manage the distribution of aid and support. The communities on the ground are responsible for identifying and directing where the aid goes.

We’re agile

We’re in constant contact with journalists, civil defence, hospitals and others in our communities so we can adapt to their ever-changing priorities.

We hold ourselves to a high level of accountability

We know how important trust is, especially in times of genocide, and this can only be achieved with accountability. We strive for 100% transparency and accountability (as long as it doesn’t endanger our communities).
