In the third year of genocide, food and water are still not consistently accessible to most Palestinians in Gaza. 

Since we began, The Sameer Project has delivered over 1 million free meals to displaced families throughout Gaza. We make sure our meals are nutritious and full of flavour. We also distribute on average 200,000 liters per day all over the strip that we increase / decrease depending on donations – as of Feb 2026, we had distributed over 55 million liters total, a third of the largest supplier, UNICEF’s, total distribution!

In Feb 2026, TSP became a member of the Global Wash Cluster, enabling us to provide more water for less money. 

The Sameer Project has two medical points, 14 doctors and 11 nurses. In our first two years, we served 3% of all of Gaza’s population with our medical care. The doctors at The Sameer Project include specialists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, a dentist, and a psychiatrist. They tend to patients in our medical points, prescribe medications, and conduct Medical Days all over the strip that serve hundreds. 

We also conduct hospital distributions of baby formula, blankets and food parcels to support the pediatric wards, neonatal ICU, and oncology wards in different hospitals. We also support individual critical cases, those that need extra care or treatment to save a life. 

The Sameer Project has a committee to assess camps according to: sanitation, shelter, bathroom, access to water, food, proximity to main roads and terrain. According to this assessment, we provide the most pressing aid for the camp, and we share the needs with other mutual aid groups. Items distributed include tents, tarps, clothing, shoes, diapers, and other urgent needs.

We also run ad hoc activities such as tailoring workshops, photography classes, and kids’ cinema nights.

We care for patients and their families across three medical camps: Refaat Alareer Camp, Batool Camp, and Sawarha Camp. Your support cares for about 120 families, some with multiple medical cases within one family unit, and about 85% of the cases we care for would otherwise be in a hospital setting.

We also offer education and activities in these camps, including the Hasan School which provides daily lessons that are accredited by the Ministry of Education. 15 teachers teach 600+ children from ages 3-15.

The military occupation hasn’t allowed building material into Gaza since the start of the genocide but that doesn’t mean there is nothing we can do to improve the quality of life for Palestinians in Gaza. 

Families who were forcefully evacuated want to go home. Where it is safe, and not beyond the “yellow-line” border created by the occupation, our team clears roads, provides tarps for buildings, and cleans up the rubble – we help start the rebuilding process! Some tractors and trucks help clear roads or provide camps with sand to avoid flooding.
